Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Novantia B.V. ("Novantia", "we") handles personal data on novantia.eu, when you buy a license, when you request a license or contact support, and when you use our Mac apps. We are the controller for the personal data described here.

Who we are

Our apps

Our apps run on your Mac. They have no analytics, telemetry, tracking, or account, and the content you work with (windows, captures, documents) never leaves your Mac. Each app has its own privacy policy with the details:

• DockPeek checks for updates at most once a day and, once you activate a license, verifies it with our license server (license key and a pseudonymous device ID, a hash of your Mac's hardware ID). Details: novantia.eu/dockpeek/privacy.
• TextLift recognizes text on your Mac; captured content is never sent anywhere. Details: novantia.eu/textlift/privacy.
• PDF Kit makes no network connections; your documents stay on your Mac. Details: novantia.eu/pdf-kit/privacy.

Purchases

When you buy a license, the purchase is processed by our reseller as merchant of record; you see which reseller at checkout, and its own privacy policy covers the payment details you give it. We receive limited order details — typically your name, email address, and the license key issued — which we use only to deliver and validate your license and to provide customer support.

License requests and support

If you use the license request form or email us, we receive what you send: your name, email address, the app and edition, and your message. We use it only to answer you and deliver your license. The form is sent to us by email. To block abuse, the website keeps the IP address of each form submission in memory to limit submissions per hour; it is never written to disk and is cleared when the server restarts.

The website

novantia.eu uses no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies. Your language choice is stored in your own browser (local storage) and is not sent to us. Like any web server, ours sees the IP address of each request.

Legal basis

• Delivering your license, support and license checks: performance of the contract with you.
• Keeping order records: our legal obligation under Dutch tax law.
• Protecting the website and forms against abuse: our legitimate interest in a secure service.

How long we keep it

• Order details: as long as the purchase requires and Dutch tax law obliges (usually 7 years).
• License requests and support emails: no longer than needed to handle your request.
• License activations (DockPeek): only while the license is activated on that Mac.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the reseller that processes your order and with the providers that host our website and email, and only as far as needed to provide the service.

Your rights (GDPR / EU)

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to its processing, or ask for a copy, by emailing support@novantia.eu. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
